Vine’s 6 second looping videos can be endlessly entertaining, given the Vines in your feed are actually worth watching. In an effort to get users spending more time in their home feed, and get them checking out interesting Vines they may not otherwise see, Twitter-owned Vine updated its app today so you can follow channels.

Vine introduced Channels as a way to browse new content under the app’s Explore tab back in 2013. But to continue to discover great new videos and Vine members, you need to keep revisiting these channels, which include topics like Animals, Comedy, and Sports, in the app. In today’s update, which is currently rolling out to users, you can follow a particular channel to get top curated content inserted into your home feed. This way, you can discover accounts you might be find compelling, and dose your feed with new life, without having to go out and follow a hundred different users.

Vine also updated its app for iOS 8, so it better takes advantage of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus’ larger screens, and so users can upload videos from the camera roll or any video app and share them on Vine. Same as with the app’s current import function, if a video is over 6 seconds, you can trim and crop it until it’s just the footage you want to share.

Hopefully if you follow Science and Tech channel, you’ll get a dose of The GINGERCAST thrown into your feed, if you don’t follow it already.
