There are hacker movies (most of them not very good) and there are post-apocalyptic flicks (most of them better). Jackrabbit is both. And it looks very cool.
The film, set in a future post-apocalypse world, delves into what happens when a hacker and a computer technician combine forces to try to decipher a message from a friend who left behind a mysterious computer drive when he killed himself.
What happened? Why did he commit suicide? His friends Simon (Josh Caras) and Max (Ian Christopher Noel) suspect it has something to do with Vopo Technologies—the Apple of their post-apocalypse—but they just can’t figure out what.
Check out a clip from Jackrabbit above. The movie—the debut feature from director Carleton Ranney, which also features a soundtrack from MGMT’s Will Berman—will premiere later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival.
