Look at how big this hammock is. It can comfortably cradle three people in its tree-suspended embrace, with plenty of room to spare. In fact, I’d bet you could fit five to six average-sized adults on this thing. And kids, you could probably fit a herd of them.
The aptly named Mega Hammock measures 8 x 15 feet and is handcrafted from ripstop nylon and black webbing by an FAA certified parachute rigger. It’s designed for three people, but like I said, there’s plenty of extra room. Imagine the hours of sun-dappled snoozing you could have in this suspended nap station.
A normal hammock may only run you about $20, but it’s a maze of webbing and fabric that can fold over you into an awkward cocoon. It’ll eventually hang in a corner of the yard forgotten, cord fraying as it gathers leaves and squirrel droppings come the fall. There’s no way that could happen with the Mega Hammock. It’s too big to forget.
Each hammock is made to order, and takes about two weeks to fulfill. It comes in four colors: brown, blue, yellow, and orange. You can also customize the size and colors if these options don’t suit your needs.
The Mega Hammock has a proportionately mega pricetag of $375, but really, you can’t put a price on summer relaxation.
